“You are the detective of your own body and I am just here to help you find the map”
- Lindsey Vestel, The Functional Pelvis

Occupational Therapists (OTs) are regulated health care professionals who support the whole person. They consider every aspect of your well-being — physical function, emotional health, nervous system regulation, habits, posture, movement patterns, and the daily demands of your life.

This comprehensive approach aims to give you the skills to reduce symptoms, build confidence, and return to living and moving with greater ease.

About The Pelvic Wellness OTs

Olivia and Rebecca are pelvic health and women’s wellness–focused occupational therapists dedicated to supporting women through the transitions of pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Grounded in a whole-person, evidence-based approach—and informed by both professional training and meaningful lived experience—they offer compassionate, individualized care for those navigating pelvic pain, intimacy concerns, and functional challenges.

The Pelvic Wellness OTs began with a simple walk and a meaningful conversation. Olivia and Rebecca discovered a shared passion for pelvic and women’s health—especially during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Their connection, combined with their professional experience and enthusiasm for this work, naturally grew into a collaborative vision. What started as a conversation became a partnership and, ultimately, the foundation of The Pelvic Wellness OTs.

Rebecca Swick

OT Reg. (Ont)

Rebecca discovered her passion for this work after experiencing tailbone pain that affected her daily life, the activities she loved, and her overall sense of ease in her body. Seeking solutions, she explored a variety of approaches and expanded her knowledge through pelvic-health–focused continuing education. As she applied what she learned and better understood her own body, she began to experience meaningful improvements and started to integrate these skills and insights into her clinical work as an OT. Her passion deepened further as she prepared for the birth of her son and navigated unexpected pelvic health changes during pregnancy and postpartum following a vaginal home birth.

These personal experiences along with evidence informed care shape Rebecca’s approach today. She supports clients by examining symptoms within the context of daily life—how they move, feel, and engage in the activities that matter most. Her goal is to help others feel strong, supported, and truly content in their bodies through any transition or life change.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her toddler, family, and friends. She holds a Bachelor’s in Child Health and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.

Olivia Carovillano

OT Reg. (Ont)

Olivia’s journey into pelvic health began with her own experience of persistent pelvic pain, which intensified after the unplanned cesarean birth of her son. Navigating the demands of motherhood while managing discomfort, she began integrating her professional background as an occupational therapist with the evidence-based care she was receiving. As she noticed meaningful improvements, her curiosity and commitment to understanding pelvic health deepened, leading her to pursue continuing education in pelvic health, cesarean birth recovery, and the mental and emotional aspects of pain and healing.

Today, Olivia brings this blend of personal insight and clinical knowledge into her work with clients. She takes a holistic, evidence-informed approach—exploring symptoms within the context of everyday life, including parenting, work, and meaningful leisure activities, and helping individuals understand their bodies, movement patterns, and sources of discomfort. Her goal is to support clients in building confidence, improving symptom management, and reconnecting with activities that bring them
comfort and joy.

Driven by a passion to help others navigate similar challenges, Olivia is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered in their healing. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, baking, and connecting with friends. Olivia holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Hons) and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.
